Silver Lines and Charlie Cards!
After leaving Boston more than 2 years ago I'm impressed by all the changes that have taken place in this city. I rode the Silver Line in from the airport.
They're using "Charlie Cards" now on the T. The amount of performance spaces in this town has gone way up , from The Calderwood Pavillion where we're producing the Marathon this year, to The Opera House, and most importantly to me, the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown the new home of New Repertory Theater.
My favorite part of this trip is catching up with old friends. I saw my long time friend and collaborator Rick Lombardo yesterday, and in between me gushing about the marvel of his new production Ragtime, he asked me to write a score for the first show of his new season called "The Pillowman".
Hopefully I'll take a few more pictures today, and they'll be up soon. Viva Beantown!
