In this, the inagural episode, I'm going to cover my recent trip to Boston to be the sound director and be on run crew for the 8th Annual Boston Theater Marathon.

The Boston Theater Marathon is an amazing event produced anually by Kate Snodgrass and Boston Playwrights Theater. Boston Playwrights Theater, was founded by Snodgrass and Nobel Prize winning poet Derek Walcott back in the mid 80's at a time when Boston had very little support for local playwrights. This episode features an interview with Snodgrass about the process of producing the Marathon.

The Boston Theater Marathon or BTM as it's known to us that work on it, is in essence a festival of 10 minute plays, except that there are 50 of them, they're 95% world premieres, they're done back-to-back in one 10 hour stretch, and each play is produced by a different Boston Theater Company... Oh yeah, and all the proceeds go to charity. Pretty COOL!
