When listening
to the songs below, keep this in mind. Rarely do I ever polish
these songs with a radio worthy demo. This section is mainly
a showcase of my songwriting skills, so most everything you
listen to here, with a few exceptions, is in demo form or recorded
live. -Haddon
Katie's Song
(Music and Lyrics by Haddon
Givens Kime)
I wrote and performed this one
at our wedding, where I also added the Givens to my name.
Again, this song speaks for itself. Clicki play on the player

When the Women say Amen!
(Music and Lyrics by Haddon
Givens Kime)
Yes, my wife is the Rev. Katie
Givens Kime, and for her ordination ceremony I wrote a song
showcasing my feminist Christian theology. Again, very different
than anything I'd written previously.
Willing to Walk Away
(Music and Lyrics by Haddon
Kime)
Just tryin' to be honest over here... Here's an unpolished demo
recording, and in that tradition, the song comes through.
This song was one of the winners in the Berklee Songwriting
Competition in 2000.
This song had to be written.
It speaks for itself.
Completely
(Music and Lyrics by Haddon
Kime)
This song turned out to be a
very good project for me. Written for and in the style of
a very popular female country singer, and inspired by my sister's
story about bringing her first child home from the hospital...
...and there's always this
"This
premiere collection of songs from singer/songwriter
Haddon S. Kime, features rock, pop, and even country
blues. Tucson has a new star on it's stage..."
(Arizona Daily Star 6/20/95)
Way, way back I recorded this album of songs straight
out of high school in Tucson, AZ. A lot has changed
since then, espically the length of my hair. I'm happy
to say that even though I'd put out a very different
product today, that the songwriting itself on this album
still stands the test of time. I wrote a song on this
album about the incident in Waco, TX called "Follow
Me," and one about a good friends loss of her mother
entitled "You're Never Yours." These songs
still ring true. One of these days I have to record
a follow up. It's bound to happen sooner or later.
